If you polish it out to a near mirror shine and then spray four coats like I did it will look like clean unpolished aluminum again. When it gets scuffed the mirror finish is again exposed which means wiping on another coat over the scuff.

The air temperature is the variable that really makes a difference. I tried to apply it when it was at least in the 60's (not above) because it laid out smoother in cooler weather. It is easier to polish the boat with a Dual Action Polisher at the start of the Summer, as I can do the job in maybe 90 minutes. The pros seem to say it will delay some of the discoloration from being in the water.
