WebApr 2, 2006 · 302 shaft in a 351 would be a tall deck 302. a 351 shaft in a 302 would be a low deck 351, and ford didn`t make either one of`em. both blocks have a 4 inch bore, a 351 has a 3.5 inch stroke, the 302 has a 3 inch stroke. My question is, why destroke? less cubic inches for more money? if you have a 351 stick with it.
