As I think I understand it, the only real difference between a global and a hierarchical label is that a hierarchical label needs a corresponding pin in each sheet to make it available to said sheets, whereas, global labels act as if all the sheets are one big sheet connectivity-wise. WebWhere per-sheet overrides are not specified, maintaining control of default colors via themes is desirable in my opinion. Not everyone will want to change the colors on a per-sheet basis, and anyone using a custom dark theme would probably appreciate the hierarchical sheets looking consistent with the rest of the schematic.
