Found a broken release bearing inside, but went ahead and changed out everything. New pressure plate, clutch, fork, bearings, gaskets, etc. Pretty much everything in the area of the clutch. Did it stick from sitting if so some times you can put it in the highest gear and bump it with the starter, may have to bypass a safety switch or two temporarily. Pulling the clutch lever (and therefore the pulling on the cable) is what disengages the clutch. So, of course the clutch won't disengage when the cable is disconnected.
