I have had no success trying to import my files for rendering in any format into blender, STL, STEP, OBJ, as blender doesn't seem to know where the edges are and where to render smooth. Left the World scale in Blender as 1.000 (1 Blender's unit will be 1 meter) When importing, select 0.001 as scale for the STL file.
